HOUSTON — The Pittsburgh Steelers will have a fifth wide receiver in uniform Sunday when they play the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium.

It will not, however, be Gunner Olszewski.

Although Olszewski was cleared from concussion protocol and practiced all week for the Steelers, he was among the players listed as inactive for the 1 p.m. game. Taking his spot as the fifth receiver is Dez Fitzpatrick, who will be making his Steelers debut.

Fitzpatrick was activated to the 53-man roster when Diontae Johnson was placed on injured reserve.

The other players inactive for the Steelers are guard James Daniels, punter Pressley Harvin III, running back Godwin Igwebuike and defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko. Mason Rudolph will serve as the No. 3 quarterback.

Daniels (groin) and Harvin (hamstring) were ruled out Friday by coach Mike Tomlin. Nate Herbig will make his first start for the Steelers, replacing Daniels at right guard. With Harvin out, the Steelers will turn to Brad Wing, who was promoted from the practice squad Saturday. Wing hasn’t punted in the NFL since 2017.

Olszewski has been active for just one game this year. He came under scrutiny in that game when he fielded a kickoff along the sideline at the Steelers 9 rather than let the ball go out of bounds. On his only offensive possession, he fumbled after catching a pass and left the game with a concussion. He did not play last weekend at Las Vegas.

With Igwebuike out, the Steelers will have two active running backs against the Texans: Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. Connor Heyward is the fullback.

The Texans will be without tackles Josh Jones and Laremy Tunsil, who were ruled out Friday. Also inactive for the Texans are cornerback Tavrierre Thomas, linebacker Denzel Perryman, running back Dare Ogunbowale and center/guard Michael Dieter. Case Keenum is the No. 3 quarterback.
