With the Pittsburgh Steelers having a completely healthy 53-man roster for the first time this season, they will try to improve to 3-0 for the first time in 10 years if they can defeat the Houston Texans on Sunday at Heinz Field.
A win would give the Steelers a 3-0 record for the third time in coach Mike Tomlin’s 14-year tenure. He was 3-0 in 2007, his inaugural season, and again in 2010 when the Steelers advanced to Super Bowl XLV.
All-Pro guard David DeCastro is active for the first time in three weeks and will start at right guard. His return means rookie Kevin Dotson returns to the bench after starting last week against the Denver Broncos.
There were no surprises among the five players listed as inactive for the Steelers. They are No. 3 quarterback Joshua Dobbs, tight end Zach Gentry, guard/tackle Derwin Gray, inside linebacker Ulysees Gilbert and defensive lineman Carlos Davis.
Dobbs, Gentry, Gilbert and Davis have been inactive for all three games this year. Gray was active last week as a result of DeCastro’s knee injury, and he played four snaps on special teams.
Inactive for the Texans are running back Duke Johnson, cornerback Cornell Armstrong, outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard, tackle Charlie Heck and defensive tackle Ross Blacklock.
