The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have signed forward Jordan Nolan to a one-year American Hockey League (AHL) contract.

Nolan, 31, has six years of NHL experience on his resume, having appeared in 375 career games, primarily with the Los Angeles Kings. A seventh-round draft pick (No. 186 overall) in 2009 by the Kings, Nolan was a member of that franchise’s Stanley Cup championship teams in 2012 and 2016.

Nolan, who has 52 career points (24 goals, 28 assists), has also played for the Buffalo Sabres and St. Louis Blues.

Last season, Nolan spent the entire campaign with the San Antonio Rampage, AHL affiliate of the Blues. Serving as that team’s captain, Nolan played 60 games and scored 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists).

Nolan is the son of Ted Nolan, a former forward with the NHL Penguins in 1985-86 who also served as head coach of the Sabres and New York Islanders.

Follow the Penguins all season long.
