Westmoreland campus clippings: Mark Davis to lead Saint Vincent men's soccer
Saint Vincent has a new men’s soccer coach.
Matt Davis will take over the program in the fall.
“With the college’s strong academic reputation and commitment to the full student-athlete experience, I’m excited to get to work to build this program into a winning one that our players, alums and supporters of Saint Vincent can have pride in,” Davis said.
A Philadelphia native, Davis has been an assistant at Williams College (Mass.) of the New England Small College Athletic Conference since 2019.
He was the head men’s and women’s coach at Mount Aloysius from 2014-19 where he guided the Mounties men to a 61-33-6 record, did not miss the playoffs and won an AMCC title which earned the team a trip to the NCAA Division III playoffs.
The women were 52-37-5 under Davis and made the AMCC final in 2018.
Davis also served as a representative on the NCAA Division-III Soccer Regional Advisory Committee for the Great Lakes Region.
Davis played at Albright College in Reading.
