Top-seeded Virginia Tech rallies for win at ACC softball tournament at Pitt

Top-seed Virginia Tech scored single runs in the third and fourth innings and rallied to defeat Syracuse, 2-1, in an ACC quarterfinal Thursday at Pitt.

Bre Peck won the game with a home run.

The Hokies face Clemson, which defeated Notre Dame, 7-3, in the 1 p.m. semifinal.

Duke, which knocked off Georgia Tech, 9-6, and Florida State, which held off Virginia, 5-3, will meet in the 3:30 p.m. semifinal.
