Which team is going to rack up more injuries this year? The Steelers or the Penguins?

The Steelers have a bigger roster. So they have more chances for guys to get hurt. But at the rate they are going, I give the Penguins a shot at keeping up.

Seriously, this is getting ridiculous.

Now Jared McCann is “day-to-day” with a lower-body injury for the Penguins. So that’s five injured forwards for Pittsburgh. That means almost half of the club’s projected opening-night forwards are hurt.

TribLive Penguins beat writer Seth Rorabaugh joins me to look at how the Penguins will try to cope with that problem.

We talk about how the team has managed to win — and score — more often as the body count has risen on the injured list.

That seems counterintuitive. Seth will give us some ideas why this is happening.

Also, the Penguins host the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday night. The Avs haven’t lost yet. We examine how they have gotten off to such a good start.

We look at some of the disappointing teams in the Eastern Conference so far. And we review the new James Neal goal song.

Every time it’s played, that’s good for the Edmonton Oilers. That’s bad for anyone who previously enjoyed music.

LISTEN: Tim Benz and Seth Rorabaugh discuss all the injuries to the Penguins, how they are still scoring, and a look at the matchup against the Avalanche
