We are all over the map when it comes to our “Madden Monday” podcast this week.

Mark Madden and I touch on the Penguins, Steelers, Pitt football and two major baseball issues.

We start with the Penguins splitting two games in Florida and how they will deal with their latest injury. That’s the busted cheekbone of defenseman John Marino. Mark uses this event as an opportunity to renew the call for face shields in the NHL.

We also discuss Pens trade prospects and how they might be limited by the perceived demand in return.

Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick had some interesting comments about his role in the Steelers defense. Mark and I delve into where he is right and wrong.

Baseball is facing two major stories: the Astros cheating scandal and the trade of Mookie Betts. We chime in on both of those topics.

The thought of Pat Narduzzi going back to Michigan State was a hot-button point early this week. But Mark couldn’t be more dismissive of the entire story.

We also tackle the XFL, the Rolling Stones and Ozzy Osbourne.
