Ex-Steeler Brett Keisel hosts fishing party for kids at UPMC Children's Hospital
Kids at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh got a chance Wednesday to get outside and party with former Steelers defense end Brett Keisel.
Keisel hosted the patients for a BBQ and fishing event at the Alpine Hunting and Fishing Club in Bridgeville. They grilled dinner, played some backyard games, and Keisel, an avid fisherman, shared a few tips for landing the big one.
Keisel has worked with Children’s Hospital since his rookie season with the Steelers.
The event was sponsored by Dick’s Sporting Goods, which provided the fishing equipment, games and food and then donated the items to Children’s Hospital.
