The third Hall of Honor class will be unveiled by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, July 27, and the event will coincide with the team’s third annual charity walk at Saint Vincent College.

The Steelers inducted 27 members into the inaugural class in 2017. Last year, the inductees were Rocky Bleier, Alan Faneca, Bill Nunn, Art Rooney Jr. and Buddy Dial.

The Hall of Honor was established to recognize former players, coaches and front office personnel who were instrumental in the success of the franchise. To be eligible, a player must be retired at least three years and played a minimum of three seasons for the Steelers.

Potential candidates for the third class include former players Hines Ward, Troy Polamalu, Dwight White and Jon Kolb, former coach Bill Cowher, former assistant Dick LeBeau and late broadcaster Myron Cope.

Each inductee receives a replica of a solid steel football.

The charity walk will be held on the Saint Vincent campus. The honorary co-chair for the walk will be Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback Mel Blount.
