Steelers' Ryan Switzer, Roosevelt Nix designated to return from injured reserve
If the Pittsburgh Steelers make the AFC playoffs and advance to the divisional round, they could get fullback Roosevelt Nix and wide receiver Ryan Switzer back on the active roster.
The Steelers announced Thursday that Nix and Switzer have been designated to return from injured reserve, which paves the way for them to return to game action in no less than two weeks.
Nix (knee) and Switzer (back) were placed on injured reserve prior to the Steelers’ game Nov. 14 at Cleveland.
Teams may designate two players to return from injured reserve each season.
Both players were scheduled to practice with the Steelers on Thursday for the first time since sustaining their injuries.
