General manager Omar Khan made his second trade of his first NFL Draft when he sent the Pittsburgh Steelers’ No. 80 selection Friday night to the Carolina Panthers.
In return, the Steelers received the No. 93 overall pick, which also is in the third round. The Steelers added a late pick in the fourth round, No. 132 overall.
When Khan traded up three spots in the first round to take Georgia tackle Broderick Jones at No. 14, he gave up the Steelers’ original fourth-round selection. That left the Steelers with no picks among the fourth, fifth and sixth rounds. They hold two selections in the seventh.
Khan got the fourth-rounder back when he made his deal with the Panthers.
