Steelers coach Mike Tomlin discusses opening game against Buffalo Bills

The Pittsburgh Steelers open the 2021 season in six days against the Bills in Buffalo, and the question on every fan’s mind is “Will outside linebacker T.J. Watt be in uniform?”

Watt regularly has taken part in individual drills over the past month and a half but has not taken part in 11-on-11 or 7-on-7 play. Watt is entering the final year of his contract and is eligible for a mega extension he and the Steelers have been in negotiations for in recent months.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin addresses that situation, among other topics, during Tuesday’s news conference at the UPMC Rooney Complex on the South Side.
