Steelers hire former NFL lineman Adrian Klemm as assistant line coach
Shaun Sarrett will get some help coaching the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line.
Sarrett, promoted from an offensive assistant when veteran offensive line coach Mike Munchak joined the Denver Broncos, will be aided by Adrian Klemm, who was hired Tuesday to serve as the team’s assistant offensive line coach.
Klemm, a former offensive lineman with the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers, will assume the role held by Sarrett before Munchak’s departure.
Klemm has nine years of experience coaching offensive lines in college. His most recent stay was with UCLA from 2012-16 where he served as associate head coach/run game coordinator/offensive line coach.
Klemm was a graduate assistant at SMU in 2008 and served as that school’s offensive line coach/recruiting coordinator from 2009-11.
Klemm was selected by the Patriots in the second round of the 2000 draft, four rounds before New England picked quarterback Tom Brady. Klemm played seven NFL seasons and won three Super Bowls with the Patriots.
