Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt (90) stretches during practice at their NFL football training camp in Latrobe, Pa., Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019.

Each day of Steelers training camp, the Trib rounds up some things to pay attention to during practice at Saint Vincent:

WHAT TO WATCH

Back on campus: After enjoying a day off following the Family Fest practice at Heinz Field, the Steelers return to the familiar confines of Saint Vincent where they will conduct the remaining six training camp practices. They will practice two times this week in advance of the preseason opener Friday against Tampa Bay.

Watt’s up: Outside linebacker T.J. Watt, activated from the physically unable to perform list Sunday, will be in uniform and working with his teammates for the first time at Saint Vincent. Watt was limited to individual work in his first practice and likely will need another day of heat acclimation before he can don the pads and do some hitting.

New addition: Don’t be surprised if defensive lineman Cameron Heyward gets the day off and is not at practice. Heyward’s wife, Allie, delivered the couple’s third child Monday. Heyward called his newborn daughter, Caia Clark Heyward, the “tiebreaker.” The Heywards also have a son, Callen, and a daughter, Chloe.

Injuries to monitor: Center Maurkice Pouncey left the Sunday night practice early with what coach Mike Tomlin termed a “minor” injury. Pouncey won’t play in the preseason opener anyhow, so he may benefit from some extra rest this week. Safety Sean Davis (finger) was in uniform and took part in warmups Sunday, an indication that he may be nearing a return to practice. Rookie wide receiver Diontae Johnson has been in an out of practice with a groin injury.

Practice time: 2:55-5 p.m., Chuck Noll Field
