Steelers back up quarterbacks Josh Dobbs and Mason Rudolph looks on as Ben Roethlisberger throws during practice Wednesday July 3, 2019 at St. Vincent College.

Each day of Steelers training camp, the Trib rounds up some things to pay attention to during practice:

WHAT TO WATCH

All in the family: The second weekend of training camp concludes with the third annual trip to Heinz Field for Family Fest. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., an hour before practice begins. Activities will be held on Art Rooney Ave. starting at 4 p.m. Player meet-and-greet sessions will be held with former Steelers players Will Allen, Bryan Hinkle, Charlie Batch, Rod Woodson, Merril Hoge, Chris Hoke, Bruce Gradkowski, Santonio Holmes and Dwayne Woodruff participating. Tickets for the event are $10.

Getting their kicks: The competition between kickers Chris Boswell and Matthew Wright will intensify at practice. The kickers are expected to be tested with field-goal tries at both ends of Heinz Field. Boswell is trying to retain his job after missing seven field-goal attempts and five extra-point tries in 2018.

Will Ben suit up?: Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has missed back-to-back practices, which is a rarity for him. Unless he is injured, Roethlisberger is expected to practice Sunday night. Coach Mike Tomlin also will get backups Josh Dobbs and Mason Rudolph prepared for the preseason opener, which is Friday night against Tampa Bay.

Practice time: 6:30-9 p.m., Heinz Field
