According to the minds behind the popular Madden NFL 20 video game, the best players on the Pittsburgh Steelers roster aren’t necessarily who you might think.
According to the video game, which ranks all NFL players on a 99-point scale for attributes such as awareness, speed, acceleration, agility and strength, the Steelers’ best player is offensive lineman David DeCastro with a 93 overall rating.
He’s the second-best right guard in the league behind Dallas’ Zack Martin.
He’s followed in the overall rankings by receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (88), defensive lineman Cameron Heyward (86), offensive tackle Alejandro Villaneuva (86), center Maurkice Pouncey (85), quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (85) and defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt (85).
Here’s where things get a little unexpected.
The fastest player on the Steelers roster according to Madden? Recently signed free agent wide receiver Johnny Holton.
The strongest player on the team? Third-string center Patrick Morris, a TCU grad who spent last year on the practice squad.
The game also shows no love for long snappers. Kameron Canaday is rated as the worst player on the Steelers roster with an overall ranking of 37.
