Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster to assist NFL as London academy 'ambassador'
The NFL is opening an academy in London this year, and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster will be one of its ambassadors.
The NFL Academy, which begins in September, will provide students ages 16-18 the chance to learn professional football while training under the supervision of full-time coaches. The first class will encompass approximately 80 students.
As an ambassador, Smith-Schuster will visit the academy and “help mentor the student-athletes,” the NFL said in a statement.
Other NFL players who will be ambassadors include Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Philadelphia Eagles running back Jay Ajayi and Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice.
