Sharks' Logan Couture thought he lost a testicle on shot block
Losing to the Vegas Golden Knights might not have been the most painful part.
San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture, sacrificing his body in the way only hockey players can this time of year, blocked a shot by the Golden Knights’ Cody Eakin during Game 2 of their Western Coference first-round series Friday night.

Yeah. Ouch.
The block occurred midway through the second period, and Couture left the ice, but he returned for the start of the third period.
After the game, which Vegas won 5-3 to tie the series at 1-1, Couture told reporters what happened on the block.
“I thought I lost my testicle,” Couture said.
“Is it still there?” a reporter followed.
“Luckily,” Couture said, grinning among the chuckles from the media scrum.

The Sharks rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the first period to tie the game at 3-3 before the first intermission.
Couture scored the first of three Sharks goals within 2 minutes, 9 seconds, the last of which came with less than a minute to play in the first period. Mark Stone and Williams Karlsson scored for Vegas in the second and third periods, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 34 saves for Vegas.
