Around the horn: Bloomsburg, the third-seeded team from the PSAC East, is getting used to upsets. The Huskies advanced with a 2-games-to-1 upset of No. 2 West Chester in the quarterfinals, before a 2-1 series win over No. 1 Millersville in the semis. Bloomsburg won the PSAC title in 2019. Its other titles came in 1965, 1956 and 1955. Carter Chasanov leads the team with a .361 average and has seven home runs and 24 RBIs. Kyle OFier has 10 doubles, eight homers and 40 RBIs, Gianna Sinatore has eight homers. Michael Standen leads the pitching staff with a 3-2 record and a 3.06 ERA, while Jared Marshman is 4-2. … Seton Hill swept Mercyhurst in the semifinals to reach the finals. The Griffins, ranked No. 7 nationally, won PSAC titles in 2017 and ‘18. Star grad student and potential MLB draft pick Tommy Pellis (Greensburg Central Catholic) is hitting .415 with 14 homers, 49 runs scored and 40 RBIs. He has 51 hits. Owen Sabol (Norwin) has a .375 average and 25 RBIs, Derek Orndorff bats .364 with 14 homers and 40 RBIs and Isaiah DiAndreth (Hempfield) has a .362 average and 39 RBIs. The pitching staff has a 2.91 ERA, led by Jared Kollar (Latrobe), who is 4-0 with a 1.69 ERA, while Ben Vicini is 4-1. The teams have met only once in the postseason. Seton Hill defeated the Huskies, 19-8, on the second day of the 2018 double-elimination tournament.
