Trevon Faulkner had 18 points, including six in the final minute of overtime, to lead five Northern Kentucky players in double figures as the Norse narrowly defeated Robert Morris, 79-74, on Saturday.

Bryson Langdon, who scored 13 points, hit a jumper with four seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 66. The Colonials didn’t get up a final shot.

“We struggle with some of the details,” RMU coach Andrew Toole said. “When we don’t stay locked in on the details, bad things happen for us. We got off to a great start, and some of that came from making shots. The second half was back-and-forth the entire time, but we weren’t able to finish it off the way we needed to.”

Marques Warrick added 17 points for the Norse (7-8, 5-5 Horizon League). Adrian Nelson scored 13, and Adham Eleeda had 12.

Faulkner hit all 10 of his free throw attempts. Nelson also had nine rebounds.

AJ Bramah had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Colonials (3-7, 2-5), who have lost four consecutive games. Charles Bain added 12 points.

Northern Kentucky defeated Robert Morris, 81-76, on Friday.

“If you’re a true competitor and we haven’t been able to win over two weekends, if you’re not ready to come to practice Monday and compete like crazy, we have a whole other set of issues,” Toole said. “We have to worry about us and worry about preparing ourselves. We have a lot of work in front of us, but a lot of it comes down to being able to follow our formula and play with the adequate detail and energy that it takes to win games.”
