Robert Morris has itself a championship track and field and cross country coach.

Bryan Delsite, hired to lead the women’s teams, has won conference titles as a coach, as well as college, national and international titles as an athlete.

A former RMU assistant, Delsite has been an assistant for the last seven years at Bucknell, which won five Patriot League titles in cross country from 2014-19, along with six track and field team titles.

An Elysburg native and Syracuse graduate, Delsite was the head coach of the women’s track and cross country teams at Duquesne from 1998-2013 and was a four-time Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.

At Syracuse, he won three Big East titles in the triple jump (1991-93) and added a pair of conference wins in the long jump, as well as a IC4A title in the indoor triple jump.

Internationally, Delsite won an AAU triple jump title in 1987 while establishing a record, and he made the USA Junior National Team in 1990.

He qualified for the USATF outdoor national championships in 1993 and ’94, also making the indoor event in the second year.

RMU had him on the staff, under Bill Hodge, from 1994-96.
