Robert Morris men’s basketball coach Andy Toole announced Tuesday that freshman Deshawndre Washington and sophomore Jalen Hawkins have signed scholarship agreements for the 2019-20 season.

They will round out the recruiting class that includes Olisa Ngonadi, D.J. Russell and A.J. Bramah.

Washington is a 6-foot-7 forward from Morgan Park High School in Chicago, Ill. He averaged 10.6 points and 7.6 rebounds as a senior.

Hawkins is a 6-2 guard from Odessa College. The Utica, N.Y., native averaged 6.5 points in 2018-19.

“We’re really excited to add both Deshawndre and Jalen to the roster,” Toole said in a release. “Having these two student-athletes join our recruiting class, coupled with our returners, creates competition. It’s going to be fun watching all of our guys compete as we get closer to starting another season.”

Washington and Hawkins join seven returning lettermen, including Josh Williams, Jon Williams, Charles Bain and Yannis Mendy.
