Robert Morris adds upgrades to Joe Walton Stadium
Joe Walton Stadium will feature some new technology in time for the 2023 season.
Robert Morris unveiled upgrades Tuesday, including a new video scoreboard, a scoreboard in the north end zone and a new sound system.
“We’re excited to enhance the atmosphere on game day at Joe Walton Stadium from a sound and viewing perspective, taking the fan experience to the next level,” RMU vice president and director of athletics Chris King said. “We partnered with Daktronics because they are the industry leader for video board technology. The new technology will not only become a great addition to the overall atmosphere and game day experience, but will also bring a new level of entertainment for the fan experience on game day.
“We are also excited to unveil the upgraded technology and sound system at the first home football game, where we will begin a new tradition for our fan base by playing the home season opener as a night game under the lights. Adding a premium video board is a game changer for Colonial football and lacrosse games.”
