Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has tested positive for covid-19, according to an NFL Network report Monday.

Tomlin tweeted Monday he is only experiencing “minimal symptoms” and is “in good health.”

“I want to thank everyone who reached out to express their concern for my health,” the tweet read in part. “I’ll be back in the office soon while I continue to work virtually from my home.”

Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten would not confirm the report, but he said members of the coaching and personnel staffs were sent home last week when a “few members” tested positive.

The Steelers are preparing for free agency and college pro days, which will replace the annual scouting combine in Indianapolis. The on-field workouts at the combine were canceled this year because of the coronavirus pandemic and will take place on college campuses during the winter and spring.

Tomlin is among several NFL coaches to contract coronavirus since the pandemic began last March. New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton was the first, testing positive in March. Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski missed his team’s 48-37 victory against the Steelers in the wild-card round of the AFC playoffs because of a positive test.
