The Pittsburgh Pirates announced Monday preliminary plans to host fans for spring training games at LECOM Park in Bradenton, Fla., with approximately 25% of the 8,500-seat capacity available.

The Pirates will make tickets available in seating pods of two to four per transaction, with a 6-foot distance required for safe social distancing under covid-19 protocols. The Grapefruit League home opener is against the Atlanta Braves on Feb. 28.

A special presale will be available for Pirates spring training season ticket holders and corporate partners starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday until Sunday.

Those interested in buying tickets are being encouraged to use a MyTix account on Pirates.com with digital delivery through the MLB Ballpark app. If there are any remaining tickets available, they will be sold starting at 10 a.m. Feb. 15.

For more information, contact the Pirates at Pirates.com/springtraining or by phone at 877-893-2827.
