A rare Honus Wagner 1902 W600 Sporting Life Cabinet rookie card will be auctioned at Robert Edward Auctions. Bidding ends April 19, 2020.

Pittsburgh Pirates fans will have an opportunity to own some rare prized team memorabilia – if they have about six figures worth of disposable cash lying around.

A 1959 Roberto Clemente game-used bat and a 1902 Honus Wagner rookie card are up for auction at robertedwardauctions.com. According to a release written on behalf of Robert Edward Auctions, the Wagner card is estimated to sell for more than $100,000.

Bidding for the W600 Sporting Life cabinet card started at $50,000 but was at $90,000 by Monday afternoon. The Clemente bat had a starting bid of $20,000 but was up past $35,000 Monday.

Bidding for both items ends Sunday.

According to the release, the W600 Sporting Life cards are coveted, particularly the rare ones found in high-grade condition, like this Wagner card is. Wagner, the Hall of Fame shortstop born in Carnegie, is pictured in a suit. There is an alternate version of the card with Wagner in his Pirates uniform.

The Clemente bat is a “Momen Clemente” H&B signature model using his childhood nickname “Momen.” According to the release, it was produced only between 1955-60, only 16 have remained to be professionally evaluated and this particular one is in better condition than any of the others.

A similar bat went for $41,825 at auction in 2012.
