The Pittsburgh Pirates continued their revolving door with relievers, making a pair of moves to bolster their bullpen.

The Pirates recalled right-hander Dovydas Neverauskas from Triple-A Indianapolis. Neverauskas has an 18.90 ERA in five appearances with the Pirates this season.

To make room on the 25-man roster, they optioned Alex McRae to Indianapolis. McRae allowed eight runs (six earned) on six hits — three were home runs, including a grand slam — in relief after Joe Musgrove was ejected in Monday’s 13-7 loss at Atlanta. McRae is 0-2 with an 8.76 ERA and 1.784 WHIP this season.

The Pirates also said reliever Chris Stratton, who has been on the injured list with discomfort on his right side, will begin a rehabilitation assignment at Indianapolis.
