Pirates minor league report: May 3, 2019
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 14-12) defeated Louisville (Reds), 5-3. All five Indians runs came in the fifth inning on a RHP Mitch Keller (.333) RBI double, LF Jose Osuna (.250) run-scoring single and a three-run homer from 1B Will Craig (.275) to put Indianapolis ahead, 5-2. Keller (3-0, 3.48) also got the win after pitching six innings. Keller recorded six strikeouts and allowed two runs — both on solo home runs. RHP Dovydas Neverauskas (0-0, 2.25) earned his second save this season. Next: Friday vs. Louisville, 7:15 p.m.
ALTOONA (Double-A, 13-13) won 9-2 over Richmond (Giants). RHP Pedro Vasquez (2-0, 2.67) picked up the victory after allowing just one run in five innings with five strikeouts and two walks. 3B Hunter Owen (.319) hit a double and drove in a game-high four runs. Every Curve starter besides Vasquez produced at least a hit, and four batters had at least two. Next: Friday at Richmond, 7:05 p.m.
BRADENTON (High-A, 17-9) was cancelled in Jupiter (Marlins) because of rain. The Marauders will return home Friday night to open a weekend series with Lakeland (Tigers). Bradenton has yet to name a starting pitcher.

GREENSBORO (Low-A, 16-10) lost 5-3 to Rome (Braves), allowing five unanswered runs following a 3-0 Grasshoppers lead after two innings. The three Greensboro runs were scored on home runs from 1B Mason Martin (.223) and SS Partrick Dorrian (.219), with Dorrian hitting a two-run shot. RHP Steven Jennings (1-4, 6.75) allowed only one earned run — four overall, — on five hits in five innings with six strikeouts and two walks in the loss.
