ALTOONA (Double-A, 34-31): defeated Binghamton (Mets), 5-1. 1B Jerrick Suiter (.242) had a pair of RBIs, as did RF Bligh Madris. Madris (.249) hit his third homer of the season, and 3B Hunter Owen (.300) hit his 15th. RHP Pedro Vazquez (6-1, 2.45) earned the victory, allowing one earned run on four hits in seven innings.

BRADENTON (Single-A Advanced, 36-30): was idle.

GREENSBORO (Single-A, 43-25): defeated Kannapolis (White Sox), 4-0. RHP Osvaldo Bido earned the victory, pitching seven innings to move to 8-4 with a 3.06 ERA. He struck out seven and didn’t walk a batter. 1B Mason Martin (.262) hit his 18th homer and drove in two runs. SS Connor Kaiser (.209) also homered, his fourth.

WEST VIRGINIA (Short-season A, 1-1): defeated Mahoning Valley (Indians), 6-3. The Black Bears benefitted from three unearned runs. CF Brett Kinneman (.143) had a hit and scored twice. LF Jonah Davis (.000) also scored a pair of runs after reaching on three walks. RHP Francis Del Orbe (1-0, 0.00) earned the win, pitching 2 2/3 innings without allowing a run. RHP Jesus Valles started, going 4 1/3 innings and giving up two earned runs on six hits.
