INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 35-27) lost 2-0 to Buffalo (Blue Jays). RHP Luis Escobar (1-1, 2.19) went 51/3 innings with a run allowed on two hits, five strikeouts and two walks in the loss. RHP Christian Kelley (.216) doubled once for the Indians’ lone extra-base hit.

Next: Wednesday vs. Buffalo, 1:35 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 31-30) defeated Portland (Red Sox), 5-4. DH Logan Hill (.280) hit a two-run double in the first inning to tie the score 2-2. 3B Hunter Owen (.299) hit a fourth-inning solo home run to tie the score 3-3. The winning score came off a line-drive RBI single in the eighth inning from CF Jared Oliva (.212). RHP Joel Cesar (1-1, 4.50) allowed a solo home run, the only hit he surrendered, in two innings with two strikeouts to record the win. RHP Matt Eckelman (1-2, 5.66) earned his seventh save this season.

Next: Wednesday vs. Portland, 6:30 p.m.

BRADENTON (High-A, 35-28) was suspended after three innings because of unplayable field conditions, according the Stone Crabs’ twitter account. Play will continue Wednesday with the score 1-0 in favor of the Marauders.

Next: Wednesday vs. Charlotte (Rays), 10:30 a.m.

GREENSBORO (Low-A, 41-24) lost 2-1 to Hickory (Rangers). The Grasshoppers were held to five hits, all singles. RHP Colin Selby (2-1, 3.68) recorded the loss after allowing both Hickory runs on three hits with six strikeouts and three walks. SS Connor Kaiser (.212) drove in the lone Greensboro run.

Next: Wednesday vs. Hickory, 7 p.m.

Independent

WASHINGTON (Frontier League, 9-20) lost 3-2 to Southern Illinois. LF Cameron Baranek (.211) went 2 for 4 with a double, a home run and two RBIs. RHP Jesus Balaguer (0-1, 2.25) recorded the loss after giving up a run on three hits with two strikeouts and a walk in 11/3 innings of relief. LHP Nick Wegmann ( 1-3, 4.40) went 52/3 innings in a no decision with four strikeouts, four walks and a run allowed on four hits.
