INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 52-50) lost 3-2 to Syracuse (Mets). RF Kevin Kramer (.260) was 2 for 4 from the plate with a fifth-inning solo home run for the game’s first run. RF Trayvon Robinson (.309) hit a pinch-hit RBI double in the eighth inning. LHP Sean Keselica (1-5, 3.74 with Indianapolis) was on the hook for the defeat, allowing three runs on five hits with four strikeouts in 32/3 innings of relief. LHP J.B. Shuck (0-0, 7.88) threw two scoreless innings to start the game with four strikeouts, two walks and a hit surrendered. SS Cole Tucker (.271) went 1 for 3. 2B Erik Gonzalez (.214) finished 0 for 5.

Next: Friday at Rochester (Twins), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 52-49) lost 3-1 to Richmond (Giants). 1B Logan Hill (.274 with Altoona) batted in the lone Curve run on a first-inning RBI double. RHP Pedro Vasquez (6-2, 2.81 with Altoona) picked up the loss, giving up two runs on six hits in 32/3 innings with four strikeouts and two walks.

Next: Friday vs. Richmond, 7 p.m.

BRADENTON (High-A, 56-46) won 4-2 over St. Lucie (Mets). SS Oneil Cruz (.310) went 2 for 4 with a double and a two-run homer in the third inning to put the Marauders ahead 4-1. 3B Jesse Medrano (.194) hit a second-inning RBI double. RHP Gavin Wallace (3-5, 4.07) earned the win after allowing just a run on four hits with five strikeouts and two walks in six innings. RHP John O’Reilly (0-0, 0.00 with Bradenton) earned his first save this season as part of the Marauders.

Next: Friday vs. St. Lucie, 6:30 p.m.

GREENSBORO (Low-A, 61-41) were swept in a doubleheader against Asheville (Rockies) with a 4-1 result in Game 1 and a 4-0 loss in Game 2. RHP Steven Jennings (5-9, 5.02) recorded the loss in the first game, giving up two runs in five innings with three strikeouts, two walks and five hits allowed. LF Luke Mangieri (.298 with Greensboro) went 2 for 4 with a RBI. The Grasshoppers were held to three hits in Game 2. RHP Winston Nicacio (0-1, 1.80 with Greensboro) recorded the defeat despite giving up one earned run, two total, in five innings with four strikeouts and four hits allowed.

Next: Friday vs. Kannapolis (White Sox), 7 p.m.

WEST VIRGINIA (Short season-A, 21-17) won 4-3 over Batavia (Marlins) after scoring twice in the bottom of the ninth inning. RF Brendt Citta (.357) hit an RBI sacrifice fly to tie the score, That was followed by a walk-off RBI single from 1B Nick Patten (.172), scoring CF Matthew Frazier (.278). Citta finished with two RBIs. Frazier went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs scored and a stolen base. 3B Jared Triolo (.248) had two hits and an RBI. RHP Grant Ford (3-0, 3.24) earned the victory after pitching four scoreless innings to end the game with eight strikeouts, a walk and two hits allowed. RHP J.C. Flowers (0-0, 0.00) threw the first three innings in his first start this season, allowing just a run with five strikeouts and two walks in a no-decision.
