Pirates
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 42-40) lost 6-1 to Louisville (Reds). LF Trayvon Robinson (.323) went 1 for 3 at the plate with a fourth-inning RBI single. SS Cole Tucker (.305) and CF Jason Martin (.240) each went 2 for 4. RF J.B. Shuck (.291) was 0 for 3. RHP Alex McRae (5-5, 4.90) was dealt the loss in a six-inning outing with two runs allowed on nine hits, four strikeouts and a walk.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 43-38) lost 7-2 to Akron (Indians). SS-2B Alfredo Reyes (.193) went 2 for 3 with an RBI double. CF Jared Olivia (.249) was 3 for 4 with an RBI and his 18th stolen base this season. C Jason Delay (.267) was 2 for 3 with two doubles and a run scored. LHP Domingo Robles (2-2, 5.14 in Altoona) went just 21/3 innings to start the game with five runs allowed on five hits, a strikeout and two walks in a losing performance.

BRADENTON (High-A, 45-36) won 12-2 over Jupiter (Marlins). The Marauders outhit the Hammerheads, 14-5, and scored eight runs in the first three innings. Four Bradenton batters hit homers. RF Cal Mitchell (.258) hit a first-inning, two-run homer for his only hit in two at-bats and also scored twice. RHP Max Kranick (5-6, 3.83) earned the victory after allowing two runs in seven innings with five strikeouts and five hits surrendered. 3B Jesse Medrano (.207), 1B-LF Lucas Tancas (.270) and DH Ryan Peurifoy (.333) each hit solo homers. Tancas finished with four RBIs. CF Travis Swaggerty (.230) went 3 for 5 with a double and two RBIs.

GREENSBORO (Low-A, 51-30) was late. RHP Colin Selby (3-2, 3.42) is expected to start Wednesday night.

WEST VIRGINIA (Short season-A, 9-9) lost 6-4 to Auburn (Nationals). LF Will Matthiessen (.316) went 2 for 4 from the plate with two home runs — a solo shot and one with a man on base — which were the first two homers of his minor league career. RHP Braxton Ashcraft (0-4, 6.75) recorded the defeat after giving up six runs in five innings with five strikeouts, a walk and six hits allowed.

WASHINGTON (Frontier League, 19-27) fell 8-5 to Lake Erie. LHP John Havird (4-3, 4.04) gave up six runs in 32/3 innings with four strikeouts, three walks and six hits allowed in a losing performance. SS Brett Marr (.204) hit a solo home run. RF Hector Roa (.273) doubled for the 11th time this season and batted in a run.
