INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 41-36) lost 3-2 to Columbus (Indians). RHP Alex McRae (5-4, 5.07) gave up three runs in 4 2/3 innings with eight strikeouts, two walks and six hits surrendered in the loss. 1B Eric Wood (.236) went 2 for 3 with a two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning to get the Indians within a run. SS Cole Tucker (.320) and CF J.B. Shuck (.319) both went 1 for 4. Next: Friday at Gwinnett (Braves), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 40-35) won 6-3 over Binghamton (Mets). LHP Domingo Robles (2-1, 4.13) allowed three runs in six innings with four strikeouts, a walk and seven hits allowed to earn the win. SS Robbie Glendinning (.328) hit a two-run homer in the third inning. 1B Jerrick Suiter (.253) homered in the second inning. RHP Matt Eckelman (1-2, 4.39) recorded his 12th save. Next: Friday vs. Binghamton, 7 p.m.

BRADENTON (High-A, 40-36) fell 2-1 to Jupiter (Marlins). The Marauders were held to three hits with 3B/1B Dylan Busby (.223) driving in SS Rodolfo Castro (.320) for the team’s only run. RHP Max Kranick (4-6, 3.94) went six innings in the loss, giving up two runs on six hits. He struck out three and walked one. Next: Friday at Fort Myers (Twins), 7 p.m.

GREENSBORO (Low-A, 48-29) won 9-8 over Lakewood (Phillies). Eight of the nine Grasshoppers batters recorded a hit. SS Ji-Hwan Bae (.305) went 3 for 4 with a double, two RBIs and a run. 1B Michael Gretler (.232) drove in three runs. RHP Osvaldo Bido (10-4, 3.19) earned the win after going six innings with three runs allowed on nine hits and six strikeouts. RHP Cody Smith (0-0, 27.00) recorded his first save this season. WEST VIRGINIA (Short season-A, 7-6) beat Batavia (Marlins), 6-5, in 10 innings. LF William Matthiessen (.400) hit an RBI single in the top of the 10th inning, scoring SS Jared Triolo (.194) for the go-ahead run and the eventual winner. RHP Winston Nicacio (2-1, 2.70) got the win after surrendering a run in three innings of relief with six strikeouts, a walk and two hits allowed. LF Luke Mangieri (.290) was 3 for 4 with a fourth-inning solo homer, a double and two runs. C Kyle Wilkie (.263) went 3 for 5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run.
