INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 57-58) split a doubleheader with Norfolk (Orioles) in a pair of 3-2 games. The Indians dropped the first game. Two first-inning runs off of a wild pitch followed by an RBI single from LF Kevin Kramer (.259), gave Indianapolis a 2-0 advantage until the sixth inning, when the Tides scored three runs. LHP Cam Vieaux (4-2, 5.05 with Indianapolis) threw five scoreless innings in a no-decision with a strikeout, a walk and five hits allowed. RHP Dovydas Neverauskas (3-2, 4.23 with Indianapolis) was responsible for the defeat as well as a blown save opportunity after allowing three runs on three hits with two walks in an inning of relief. In Game 2, CF Jason Martin (.267) hit a sixth-inning RBI double for the go-ahead score. LHP Jake Brentz (1-0, 5.19 with Indianapolis) recorded the win after throwing two scoreless innings of relief with two strikeouts and a hit allowed. RHP Montana DuRapau (2-1, 2.06) earned his ninth save this season.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 58-58) won 2-0 over Richmond (Giants). RHP Cody Bolton (1-2, 5.56 with Altoona) earned the victory after pitching five scoreless innings with three strikeouts, two walks and four hits surrendered. RHP Beau Sulser (.429) hit a pinch-hit RBI double in the seventh inning. 3B Brett Pope (.244) was 2 for 3 from the plate with a double and a run. RHP Clay Holmes (1-0, 6.75 with Altoona) threw two scoreless innings of relief with three strikeouts and a hit allowed. RHP Black Cederlind (3-0, 1.58 with Altoona) recorded his first save with the Curve this season.

BRADENTON (High-A, 63-51) defeated Dunedin (Blue Jays), 4-1. The Marauders produced a 4-0 lead after three innings and held the Blue Jays to three hits. RHP Aaron Shortridge (6-4, 3.50) threw eight scoreless innings with four strikeouts, a walk and two hits allowed en route to victory. 2B Rodolfo Castro (.195 with Bradenton) hit a third-inning two-run single to give Bradenton a 2-0 advantage.

WEST VIRGINIA (Short season-A, 27-23) won 8-2 over Williamsport (Phillies) in Game 1 of a doubleheader. The Black Bears owned a 6-0 advantage after scoring three runs in the second and third innings. LF Matt Gorski (.225) hit a second-inning solo home run and batted in two total runs. 3B Jared Triolo (.250) went 2 for 3 with an RBI triple and two runs scored. CF Brett Kinneman (.172 with West Virginia) hit a second-inning two-run double. RF Blake Sabol (.271) had a sixth-inning RBI double. LHP Denny Roman (2-0, 4.07) picked up the win after only giving up a run in three innings of relief with three strikeouts and two hits allowed. Game two was late.

WASHINGTON (Frontier League, 32-44) won 6-3 over Joliet in 11 innings. CF J.R. Davis (.271) hit a walk-off three-run homer. RHP Jesus Balaguer (5-3, 2.48) got the win after throwing 31/3 scoreless innings of relief with five strikeouts and a hit allowed. DH Alex Murphy (.268) was 2 for 3 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored. RHP Nick Gallagher (1-2, 6.54) did not record a decision despite giving up one run in 51/3 innings with four strikeouts, two walks and two hits allowed.
