The Pittsburgh Pirates will launch the competitive portion of their baseball season Saturday at PNC Park with the first of three exhibition games against the Cleveland Indians.

The opener will be followed by a trip to Progressive Field in Cleveland on July 20 and a return to PNC Park on July 22. All games will start at 7:05 p.m., and will be telecast on AT&T SportsNet and broadcast on KDKA-FM and the Pirates Radio Network.

The Pirates haven’t played exhibition games at PNC Park since March 31 and April 1, 2001, when they met the New York Mets prior to the official opening of PNC Park on April 9.

The Pirates will play the Indians six times in the regular season that opens July 24 against the Cardinals in St. Louis.
