Pirates farm report: Hoy Park, Jack Suwinski homer in Indy win

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 61-58) defeated Rochester (Nationals), 9-1. SS Hoy Park (.228) opened the scoring with a solo home run in the first inning, his eighth, and went 2 for 5. LF Jack Suwinski (.204) hit his sixth home run with a two-run shot in the seventh and went 2 for 3. CF Cal Mitchell (.332) went 1 for 4 with a walk and scored two runs, while 1B Mason Martin (.211) went 1 for 2 with a double and two walks. LHP Zach Matson (5.22) opened and went two innings, allowed just one hit and struck out two. RHP Miguel Yajure (4-4, 6.09) allowed one run on three hits in five innings of work and got the win. RHP Hunter Stratton (5.72) and LHP Joe Jacques (4.57) each went an inning and only allowed a single hit between them.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 58-59) lost to Bowie (Orioles), 4-1. The Curve bats could only produce three hits as SS Nick Gonzales (.249) went 0 for 3 and C Endy Rodriguez (.327) went 0 for 4. 1B Aaron Shackleford (.249) went 0 for 3 with a walk and two strikeouts and 2B Liover Peguero (.257) had two strikeouts on an 0-4 night. The only run produced by the Curve came in the fourth inning on a home run by DH Malcom Nunez (.262), his fourth. RHP Luis Ortiz (5-9. 4.64) started and went five innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits, including a home run, and striking out 10. RHP Colin Selby (2.70) allowed one run on one hit in two innings and RHP J.C. Flowers (2.63) gave up one hit in his one inning of work.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 52-63) beat Greenville (Red Sox), 5-4, in 10 innings. C Abrahan Gutierrez (.259) went 2 for 5 with two RBIs. 2B Mike Jarvis (.175) was 2 for 4 with an RBI. 1B Jacob Gonzalez (.292) went 2 for 5 and drove in a run. RHP Valentin Linarez (3.86) started and gave up two runs on two runs and three walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out four. RHP Santiago Florez (6.36) pitched 2.1 innings of scoreless relief. RHP Cameron Junker allowed one run on two hits in two innings to earn the win. RHP Eddy Yean (6.16) gave up an unearned run in the 10th to pick up the save.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 60-57) lost to Dunedin (Blue Jays), 7-5. The Marauders used four bullpen arms to hold Dunedin to just three hits through the last five innings, but the Bradenton bats just came up short. CF Tres Gonzalez (.348) went 2 for 4 with an RBI, SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.276) went 2 for 3 with two walks and C Henry Davis (.375) went 1 for 2 with an RBI. DH Bubba Chandler (.169) went 0 for 4 with a strikeout. LHP Luis Peralta (0-6, 6.32) got the start and went 1.2 innings giving up four runs on two hits with three walks and three strikeouts in a loss. RHP Carlos Campos (4.34) went 2.1 innings and gave up five hits, two homers, and three runs while striking out four.
