Pirates farm report for Sept. 9, 2022: Quinn Priester's 7 shutout innings lift Curve to victory

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 69-63) scored twice in the ninth inning to defeat Omaha (Royals), 7-5. LF Blake Sabol (.300) hit a two-run homer for the winning margin. Sabol was 2 for 3 with two runs scored. 3B Kevin Padlo (.284) was 1 for 4 with an RBI. C Jose Godoy (.211) was 2 for 4 with an RBI. CF Jared Oliva (.258) also knocked in a run. 2B Diego Castillo (.248) was 2 for 4. RHP Osvaldo Bido (4.53) allowed three runs on six hits with three walks and seven strikeouts in five innings of a no-decision. RHP Eric Hanhold (4-3, 3.31) earned the win after allowing one hit and no runs in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 66-63) shut down Erie (Tigers), 3-1. RHP Quinn Priester (4-3, 2.13) pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks and striking out five. LHP Dillon Peters (back), pitching on a rehab assignment, threw a perfect eighth, striking out two. RHP Tahnaj Thomas (3.02) gave up a solo home run in the ninth but earned his third save. 1B Malcom Nunez (.288) went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI. SS Liover Peguero (.258) went 1 for 4 with a triple. C Endy Rodriguez (.358) was 1 for 4 with an RBI.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 58-69) managed just four hits in a 5-0 loss to Bowling Green (Rays). 1B Jacob Gonzalez (.285) was 2 for 4. RF Jase Bowen (.175) had a double. RHP Jared Jones (5-7, 4.62) was dealt the loss after giving up three runs (2 earned) on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts in four innings.
