Pirates farm report for Sept. 7, 2022: Termarr Johnson hits 1st homer for Bradenton
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 67-62) lost 5-4 on a walk-off sacrifice fly to Omaha (Royals). RHP Travis MacGregor (1-2, 6.99) gave up the sacrifice fly that won the game while throwing 2.2 innings and allowing two unearned runs on two hits, walking two and striking out one. RHP Cody Bolton (3.33) started and went three innings, allowing three runs on two hits, including a home run, and striking out two. LHP Joe Jacques (3.58) threw three innings of relief and allowed one hit and struck out two. RF Bligh Madris (.282) went 2 for 4 and clubbed a two-run home run in the top of the first, his seventh. DH Mason Martin (.211) went 1 for 3 and hit his 16th home run in the fourth to tie the game 3-3. CF Jared Oliva (.252) went 3 for 4 with three singles and Ji-hwan Bae (.299) went 1 for 3 with a base knock.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 65-62) defeated Erie (Tigers), 2-1, in 10 innings. LF Fabricio Macias (.269) went 2 for 4 and smacked a line-drive double in the 10th to score the winning run. SS Liover Peguero (.258) went 1 for 3 and singled in a run in the top of the third. C Endy Rodriguez (.356) went 1 for 4 with two strikeouts while DH Henry Davis (.188) and Nick Gonzales (.263) each went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts. RHP Matt Eckelman (3.00) went four shutout innings and allowed one hit and one walk with one strikeout. LHP Omar Cruz (5.31) went 2.2 innings in relief and allowed one run on three hits and struck out three. RHP Tahnaj Thomas (5-4, 2.90) went 1.1 innings, allowed just one walk and struck out one for the win. RHP Colin Selby (2.43) went an inning and allowed one hit for the save.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 58-67) were blanked by Bowling Green (Rays), 3-0. The Grasshoppers’ bats accumulated only three hits. SS Mike Jarvis (.208) went 1 for 4 with a double, DH Abrahan Gutierrez (.259) singled on his 1-for-3 day and RF Sammy Siani (.199) smacked a double. 1B Jacob Gonzalez went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts. Greensboro used four pitchers, all of whom went two innings each. RHP Jack Carey (5.75) got the start and allowed no runs on two hits while striking out two. Losing pitcher RHP Carlos Campos (0-1, 4.50) gave up one run on two hits, walked two and struck out one. RHP Will Kobos (9.00) got the first two outs of the fifth and then allowed back-to-back home runs and struck out one. RHP Michell Miliano (7.36) finished the day off with two scoreless innings and three strikeouts.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 65-62) used the strikeout to shut out Clearwater (Phillies), 4-0. Winning pitcher LHP Anthony Solometo (5-1, 2.64) went five shutout innings, allowed a hit and three walks and struck out five. RHP Drew Irvine (3.18) came in and tossed two scoreless innings and allowed one walk and also struck out five. RHP Yunior Thibo (4.42) struck out four, walked one and allowed one hit in two innings. 2B Termarr Johnson (.278) opened the scoring in the third with a two-run inside-the-park home run, his first. The Marauders then used the walk to score in the fifth as C Wyatt Hendrie (.249) and 3B Jack Brannigan (.202) each walked in a run. RF Tres Gonzalez (.329) went 1 for 3 with two walks and SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.270) walked twice and scored two runs.
