Pirates farm report for Sept. 6, 2022: Endy Rodriguez goes 3 for 4 in Altoona win
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 67-61) was edged out by Omaha (Royals), 8-7. RHP Austin Brice (5.98) started and allowed seven runs on six hits in 1.2 innings. LHP Cam Alldred (2.18) pitched 2.1 scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and striking out four. C Carter Bins (.207) went 2 for 3 with a homer, his 10th, and three runs scored. CF Jared Oliva (.244) went 2 for 4 with a double. 2B Ji-hwan Bae (.299) was 1 for 5 with a double and an RBI. DH Blake Sabol went 1 for 3 with a triple and a walk.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 64-62) shut down Eastern League Southwest division leading Erie (Tigers), 8-1. 1B Malcom Nunez (.261) went 1 for 4 with a solo home run, his fifth. DH Endy Rodriguez (.361) went 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs. C Henry Davis (.198) went 1 for 4 and capped off a three-run seventh inning with a two-run double. RHP Aaron Shortridge (2-4, 5.76) went five innings and allowed one unearned run on three hits while walking three and striking out five to earn the win. RHP Jeffrey Passantino (3.58) pitched three innings of relief and allowed just two hits. RHP Austin Roberts (4.68) shut the door with a clean ninth inning. 2B Nick Gonzales (.268) was 0 for 3 with two walks and a strikeout.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 58-66) handled Bowling Green (Rays), 6-2. RHP Nick Garcia started and threw seven scoreless innings, giving up three hits and four walks and striking out six. 1B Jacob Gonzalez (.286) went 1 for 4 with a two-run homer, his ninth. SS Mike Jarvis (.207) went 1 for 5 and also hit a two-run homer, his eighth. DH Sammy Siani (.197) went 2 for 4 with an RBI and his 25th stolen base. C Abrahan Gutierrez (.258) was 2 for 4.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 64-62) lost on a walk-off fielder’s choice to Clearwater (Phillies), 5-4. Starter RHP Bubba Chandler (4.15) went four innings and allowed three runs on six hits, including a homer, and struck out six. RHP Wilkin Ramos (3.78) allowed no runs or hits and struck out two in two innings of work. RHP Johan Montero (4-1, 3.40) went two-thirds of an inning and gave up two runs on no hits to take the loss. RHP Carlos Lomeli (5.51) allowed the winning run that scored on a Termarr Johnson fielder’s choice and was charged to Montero. LF Trey Gonzalez (.329) went 1 for 4 with a two-run double and RF Sergio Campana (.210) clubbed a sacrifice fly to put the Marauders up a run in the top of the ninth. 3B Jack Brannigan (.209) went 2 for 4 with two singles and an RBI. Johnson (.250) went 0 for 3 with two strikeouts and a walk, and Matt Gorski (.176) continued to struggle, going 0 for 4 with a strikeout.
