INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 50-54) handled Iowa (Cubs), 6-2. Newly promoted SS Diego Castillo (.667) went 4 for 4 with a walk, an RBI and three runs scored. Castillo was acquired from the Yankees in the Clay Holmes trade at the deadline. LF Jared Oliva (.264) went 2 for 4 with a two-run home run, his seventh. RF Bligh Madris (.254) went 1 for 5 with a pair of RBIs. RHP Beau Sulser (6-5, 4.26) gave up two unearned runs on two hits and two walks in six innings. He fanned three. RHP Keury Mella (5.56), LHP Joe Jacques (3.68) and RHP Shea Spitzbarth (1.56) each threw a scoreless inning of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 52-50) suffered its fifth straight loss, blanked 5-0 by Akron (Indians). LHP Omar Cruz (2-4, 3.41) gave up one run on a solo home run in 4.2 innings. He allowed four hits and three walks and fanned three. RF Jack Suwinski (.236) went 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles. 2B Ji-hwan Bae (.272) was 1 for 4 and stole his 18th base. 3B Josh Bissonette (.232) was 1 for 3 with a walk.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 67-38) swept a doubleheader from Hudson Valley (Yankees). In the opener, a 10-7 Grasshoppers win, 2B Nick Gonzales (.306) went 2 for 4 with a double, triple and two RBIs. RF Will Matthiessen (.230) went 2 for 3 with a three-run homer, his 13th. 1B Aaron Shackelford (.205) went 1 for 4 and hit his 20th homer. CF Jonah Davis (.222) went 1 for 3 and hit a two-run shot, his sixth. SS Liover Peguero (.270) went 2 for 4 and stole his 22nd base. RHP Domingo Gonzalez (7.20) started and went five innings, giving up four runs on six hits. RHP Austin Roberts (4-3, 5.37) allowed three runs on three hits and two walks in two innings, but recorded the win.
RHP Quinn Priester (7-3, 2.67) threw six scoreless innings in the second game, allowing four hits and three walks. He fanned six. RHP Colin Selby (4.75) pitched a scoreless seventh for his fifth save. Peguero went 1 for 2 and stole his 23rd base.

BRADENTON (Low A, 64-38) outslugged Tampa (Yankees), 9-6. 1B Ernny Ordonez (.258) went 3 for 4 with two home runs, his fifth and sixth, and drove in four runs. C Endy Rodriguez (.289) went 1 for 4 and hit a two-run homer, his 12th. 2B Jackson Glenn (.413) went 1 for 3 with two walks and two runs scored. RHP Adrian Florencio (2.60) started and went four innings, allowing three runs on four hits with four strikeouts. LHP Tyler Samaniego (1-0, 0.00) pitched two scoreless innings to earn the win. RHP Oliver Mateo (5.13) worked a scoreless ninth for his fifth save.
