Pirates farm report for Sept. 15, 2021: Oneil Cruz homers for Altoona
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 54-61) lost 3-2 to St. Paul (Twins). RHP Tanner Anderson (2-4, 4.17) started and gave up three runs on eight hits in 4.2 innings. LHP Blake Weiman (4.91), RHP Shea Spitzbarth (1.44), LHP Joe Jacques (4.40) and RHP Tyler Bashlor (2.23) combined to throw 4.1 scoreless innings. RF Bligh Madris (.276) went 2 for 4. 1B John Nogowski (.211) went 1 for 3 with an RBI. 3B Hunter Owen (.223) went 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 56-57) lost 5-4 to Bowie (Orioles) in 10 innings. SS Oneil Cruz (.290) went 1 for 5 and hit his 11th home run, a three-run shot. CF Ji-hwan Bae (.283) went 2 for 5 with an RBI. RF Cal Mitchell (.283) was 2 for 4. C Grant Koch (.140) and 3B Connor Kaiser (.190) each went 2 for 4 with a double. LHP Omar Cruz (3.44) gave up four runs, two earned, on nine hits in five innings, fanning seven. RHP Cristofer Melendez (3-3, 4.41) gave up two hits in the 10th to take the loss.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 72-44) lost 6-5 to Hudson Valley (Yankees). SS Liover Peguero (.267) went 2 for 5 with a run scored and his 26th stolen base. 2B Nick Gonzales (.304) was 1 for 2 with a double and three walks. 3B Jared Triolo (.304) went 2 for 5 with a double. C Blake Sabol (.294) was 2 for 3 with his 11th home run, a two-run shot. RHP Quinn Priester (7-4, 3.04) was tagged for five runs on three hits and five walks in 2.2 innings. He struck out two.

RHP Justin Meis (2.04), a Bethel Park native, pitched two perfect innings of relief with two strikeouts.
