Pirates farm report for May 26, 2024: Quinn Priester allows 1 hit in 7 innings, leads Indianapolis to victory

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 23-25) beat Toledo (Tigers), 6-1. 2B Andres Alvarez (.254) hit a leadoff homer and 3B Mike Jarvis (.111) smacked a grand slam in the first inning. Alvarez was 2 for 5. 1B Malcolm Nunez (.269) was 2 for 5. RHP Quinn Priester (2-1, 3.28) allowed one hit and two walks with three strikeouts in seven innings to earn the win.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 14-31) lost 12-4 to Erie (Tigers). C Wyatt Hendrie (.226) had two hits and two RBIs. 2B Francisco Acuna (.290) doubled. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.223) and DH Dustin Peterson (.171) each had an RBI single. RHP Po-Yu Chen (5.72) started and allowed one run on five hits with three walks and two strikeouts. RHP Cam Junker (0-3, 13.19) took the loss after allowing five earned runs on five hits with two walks.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 25-19) beat Greenville (Red Sox), 5-4. C Shawn Ross (.153) smacked two homers, a three-run shot and a solo homer. RF PJ Hilson (.333) hit a solo home run. 3B Jack Brannigan (.218) doubled. LHP Dominic Perachi (1.59) allowed two runs on four hits with five strikeouts in five innings. LHP Jaden Woods (1-0, 2.60) earned the win after giving up one hit with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 20-25) dropped an 8-7 decision to Dunedin (Blue Jays). CF Solomon Maguire (.229) hit a solo homer, and LF Shalin Polanco (.141) hit a three-run shot. 3B Javier Rivas (.158) had an RBI double and scored. 2B Wesley Zapata (.189) was 2 for with an RBI. LHP Connor Oliver (0-2, 5.96) took the loss after allowing three runs on four hits with three walks and five strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
