Pirates farm report for May 25, 2024: Domingo German gives up 5 runs in Indy start
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 22-24) lost 6-5 to Toledo (Tigers). RHP Domingo German (6.97), making his second Triple-A start, allowed five runs, four earned, on six hits and four walks in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out five. LHP Geronimo Franzua (5.61) gave up a run on three hits in 1 2/3 innings to take the loss. CF Matt Gorski (.274) went 1 for 4 with his eighth home run. C Henry Davis was 0 for 3 with two walks, two strikeouts and a run scored. 1B Jake Lamb (.346) went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. DH Canaan Smith-Njigba (.252) went 1 for 4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. 3B Malcom Nunez (.265) went 1 for 5 with a double and an RBI.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 14-30) won its fourth consecutive game when LF Sammy Siani hit a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the 11th to beat Erie (Tigers), 4-3. Siani (.212) went 3 for 5 with a double and two RBIs. 1B Seth Beer (.313) went 2 for 5 with a double. SS Kervin Pichardo (.224) went 1 for 5 with a solo homer run, his third. RHP Braxton Ashcraft (3.76) started and went 5 1/3 innings, alowing one run on five hits, including a homer, walking two and striking out eight. LHP Anthony Solometo (6.26) pitched a scoreless innings of relief with two strikeouts. RHP Jack Carey (2-0, 5.23) pitched the final three innings, gave up one hit, allowed one automatic runner to score in the 10th and struck out four to earn the win.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 25-19) lost 3-2 to Greenville (Red Sox). RF Charles McAdoo (.317) went 3 for 4 with a double, a run scored and his eighth stolen base. CF PJ Hilson (.318) went 2 for 3. LF Lonnie White Jr. (.157) went 0 for 2 with an RBI and his fifth stolen base. DH Termarr Johnson (.199) with 0 for 3. RHP Wilber Dotel (2-2, 5.35) started and gave up two runs on four hits, including a homer, in 4 1/3 innings. He walked two and struck out four. RHP Jaycob Deese (10.66) pitched 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing one hit. RHP Brandan Bidois (4.15) worked a scoreless ninth.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 20-24) lost 6-3 to Dunedin (Blue Jays). The Marauders were held to five hits, all singles, but walked nine times. 1B Esmerlyn Valdez (.238) went 2 for 3 with a walk. LF Braylon Bishop (.278) went 1 for 5 with a run scored, an RBI and his third stolen base. RHP Khristian Curtis (5.29) started and allowed two runs on one hit – a home run – in five innings. He walked four and struck out nine. LHP Hunter Furtado (0-1, 7.27) was touched up for five runs, three earned, on three hits in 1 1/3 innings to take the loss. RHP Danny Carrion (1.13) threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings and RHP Tyler Kennedy (8.53) worked a scoreless ninth with three strikeouts.
