Pirates farm report for May 18, 2022: Liover Peguero boosts Curve
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 18-17) and Toledo (Tigers) were rained out. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Thursday starting at 11:05 a.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 16-19) rallied past Richmond (Giants), 7-5. The Curve scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single by SS Liover Peguero (.323) and an RBI triple by C Blake Sabol (.320). Peguero went 3 for 4 with a triple, three runs scored and two RBIs. Sabol went 4 for 4 with a double and three RBIs. DH Nick Gonzales (.243) went 2 for 3 with a walk. 2B Andres Alvarez (.274) went 1 for 3 with a home run, his sixth. LHP Omar Cruz (4.50) started and gave up four runs on seven hits in three innings. RHP JC Flowers (2-2, 3.55) allowed one run on five hits in three innings to earn the win. RHP Colin Selby (0.68) pitched a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts for his fifth save.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 15-19) handled Bowling Green (Rays), 7-3. CF Matt Gorski hit two home runs, his 11th and 12th, and drove in four runs. C Abrahan Gutierrez (.267) went 2 for 4 with a homer, his second, and three RBIs. LF Hudson Head (.270) went 1 for 3 with two runs scored. RHP Nick Garcia (4.91) started and allowed three runs on three hits in 4.2 innings. RHP Eddy Yean (1-1, 8.16) worked 1.1 innings, giving up no runs on three hits, to earn the win.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 16-19) was doubled up by Palm Beach (Cardinals), 4-2. 3B Alexander Mojica (.216) went 2 for 3 with a double. LF Jase Bowen (.238) went 2 for 4 with an RBI. 2B Brenden Dixon (.248) went 2 for 5. RHP Valentin Linarez (6.43) started and gave up an unearned run on three hits with six strikeouts in five innings. RHP Wilkin Ramos (0-1, 2.30) got one out and allowed two runs on three hits and a walk to take the loss.
