Pirates farm report for May 10, 2024: Eddy Rodriguez delivers walk-off win for Bradenton

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 17-17) lost 3-0 to Louisville (Reds). Indy managed six singles. 2B Ji Hwan Bae (.361) and SS Liover Peguero (.293) each went 1 for 3 with a walk. DH Henry Davis (.154) went 1 for 4. RHP Wily Peralta (4.50) started and pitched three scoreless innings, allowing two hits with no walks and three strikeouts. RHP Isaac Mattson (0-1, 3.00) gave up one run on three hits in three innings but took the loss. RHP Carmen Mlodzinski (6.92) pitched the seventh and allowed a run on two hits. LHP Jose Hernandez (12.38) surrendered a solo homer in the eighth.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 7-23) and Somerset (Yankees) were rained out. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Sunday.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 16-14) gave up two runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth to lose 4-3 to Bowling Green (Rays). The Grasshoppers collected five hits. 1B Maikol Escotto (.345) was 1 for 4 with a double. C Shawn Ross (.140) went 1 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI. 3B Charles McAdoo (.293) was 1 for 4 with an RBI. RHP Derek Diamond (3.46) started and threw four scoreless innings, allowing four hits and one walk with four strikeouts. RHP Alessandro Ercolani (3.27) gave up two runs on one hit – a home run – in three innings. LHP Cy Nielson (1-1. 3.00) gave up two runs on no hits and two walks in one inning to take the loss.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 13-18) beat St. Lucie (Mets), 9-8, on a walk-off RBI single from Eddy Rodriguez (.357) in the bottom of the ninth. DH Esmerlyn Valdez (.273) went 1 for 3 with a grand slam, his fourth homer of the season. 3B Solomon Maguire (.275) went 1 for 3 with a solo home run, his second. SS Keiner Delgado (.278) went 2 for 5 with a run scored. LHP Michael Kennedy (3.72) started and gave up four runs on eight hits with no walks and four strikeouts in six innings. RHP Tyler Kennedy (8.71) recorded two outs and gave up three unearned runs. RHP Landon Tomkins (1-0, 2.93) pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the win.
