Pirates farm report for May 10, 2022: Jacob Gonzalez homers in Greensboro debut
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 15-14) beat Charlotte (White-Sox), 15-3. LHP Trey McGough (0.75) went four innings and allowed no runs on two hits and struck out three. He got plenty of run support as Indy scored six runs in the first four innings. RHP Shea Murray (11.25) came in and gave up three runs on four hits and struck out two in two innings. Cam Vieaux (1.80) got the win, pitching two innings and allowing no runs or hits. 1B Mason Martin (.253) went 1 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, 2B Ji-hwan Bae (.280) went 3 for 5 with a walk and scored four times and LF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.258) went 4 for 6 with a double and a couple of two-run singles. 3B Rodolfo Castro (.250) crushed a grand slam in the second inning.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 13-15) beat Somerset (Yankees), 4-3. C Henry Davis (.500) went 1 for 2 with a two-run home run in his Curve debut. 3B Jared Triolo (.284) went 3 for 4 and scored two runs, while 2B Nick Gonzales (.180) continued to struggle with three strikeouts. RF Matt Frazier (.152) went 0-3. RHP Luis Ortiz (5.09) went 4.2 innings and allowed one run on one hit and struck out eight. RHP Enmanuel Mejia (7.20) went a third of an inning and allowed no runs or hits and struck out one to get the win. RHP Duane Underwood Jr. (0.00) continued his rehab assignment and threw an inning and allowed one hit, no runs and struck out one.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 12-15) beat Hickory (Rangers), 6-4. 1B Jacob Gonzalez (1.000) had quite a High-A debut, going 3 for 3 with a three-run home run and four RBIs. CF Matt Gorski (.271) tripled and LF Jack Herman (.267) and DH Abrahan Gutierrez (.256) each had an RBI as the Grasshoppers scored four runs in the third and two insurance runs in the eighth. RHP Domingo Gonzalez (8.87) went three innings and allowed three runs on three hits and struck out three. RHP Wandi Montout (5.87) went three innings and allowed no runs on two hits and struck out three to earn the win. Tyler Samaniego (0.79) came on in the ninth and got the save.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 15-13) lost to Jupiter (Marlins), 9-3. The Marauders committed four errors and struggled to get more than four runs off their 10 hits in a loss. 2B Jase Bowen (.247) and 1B Alexander Mojica (.211) each went 1-4 with a double and an RBI. DH Brenden Dixon (.259) went 1-4 and drove in a run and LF Mike Jarvis (.296) singled twice. Starter LHP Luis Peralta (7.04) went one inning and allowed two runs on three hits and struck out two and was saddled with the loss. LHP Jake Sweeney (6.48) came on in the second and went 2.2 innings and allowed three earned runs on five hits and struck out three.
