Pirates farm report for June 8, 2022: Mike Burrows throws 5 scoreless for Curve
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 27-27) was humbled by Columbus (Guardians), 11-3. RHP Miguel Yajure (0-1, 5.79) started and gave up one run on two hits in two innings. RHO Osvaldo Bido (4.61) gave up five runs, none of them earned, on two hits and five walks in 1.2 innings. SS Ji-hwan Bae (.299) went 3 for 5 with his sixth home run and 12th stolen base. LF Jared Oliva (.216) went 2 for 5 with a two-run homer, his fourth.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 26-27) split a doubleheader with Reading (Phillies). In the first game, RHP Mike Burrows (4-1, 2.13) and RHP Will Kobos (3.95) combined on a one-hit shutout in a 4-0 Curve win. Burrows started and allowed one hit and three walks in five innings, striking out nine. Kobos earned his first save, walking one and fanning three in two innings. 1B Brendt Citta (.262) went 3 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored. DH Blake Sabol (.309) went 1 for 4 with his seventh home run. LF Matthew Fraizer (.211) went 1 for 4 with a double.
Reading won the second game, 6-1. LHP Tyler Samaniego (12.27) got two outs in the sixth, giving up five runs on four hits, including a home run. SS Jared Triolo (.283) went 2 for 3 with a walk, an RBI and two stolen bases, his eighth and ninth. 3B Andres Alvarez (.279) went 2 for 3. Sabol wore the golden sombrero, going 0 for 4 with four strikeouts.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 22-30) gave up two runs in the eighth and two in the ninth to lose to Winston-Salem (White Sox), 4-3. The Grasshoppers used seven pitchers. RHP Domingo Gonzalez (6.22) started and worked five scoreless, giving up three hits and three walks and fanning four. RHP Eddy Yean (7.97) faced four batters in the eighth, got one out and gave up two runs on three hits. RHP Oliver Mateo (0-1, 7.71) walked all three batters he faced in the ninth, was tagged with two runs and took the loss. 1B Jacob Gonzalez (.345) went 2 for 4 with his fifth home run. RF Fabricio Macias (.257) went 1 for 3 and hit his first homer. CF Hudson Head (.241) went 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 23-30) was doubled up by Clearwater (Phillies), 4-2. RHP Joelvis Del Rosario (2.81) started and went six innings, allowing two runs on six hits with five strikeouts and no walks. LHP Denny Roman (1.32) pitched two scoreless innings of relief. RHP Dante Mendoza (4-2, 1.86) gave up two runs on one hit and two walks in the ninth to take the loss. 1B Jase Bowen (.247) went 1 for 3 with a double and two stolen bases, his eighth and ninth. C Wyatt Hendrie (.227) went 2 for 4. 3B Norkis Marcos (.143) went 1 for 3 with a triple.
