Pirates farm report for June 4, 2021: Colin Moran drives in 4 for Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 14-13) moved over .500 with a doubleheader sweep of Columbus (Indians), 5-2 and 10-3. In the second game, 1B Colin Moran went 2 for 4 with a double and four RBIs as his rehab assignment for a groin injury continued. Phillip Evans singled and drove in a run in a pinch-hit at-bat. CF Anthony Alford went 3 for 3 and hit his third home run. C Joe Hudson also homered. RHP Steven Wright, the veteran knuckleballer, allowed two runs on four hits with no walks and three strikeouts in 5.2 innings. He’s 2-1 with a 2.21 ERA. In the opener, 3B T.J. Rivera went 3 for 3 and hit his first home run. DH Christian Bethancourt also hit a home run, his second. C Jason Delay had two hits. RHP Beau Sulser gave up two runs in 4.1 innings, fanning seven. LHP Blake Weiman, RHP Kyle Keller and RHP Tyler Bashlor combined for 2.2 scoreless innings of relief. In the second game,

ALTOONA (Double-A, 17-10) lost 5-3 to Richmond (Giants). SS Oneil Cruz went 2 for 4 with a double to run his hitting streak to nine games. He’s hitting .292. 1B Mason Martin hit a home run, his fifth. 3B Rodolfo Castro went 2 for 4. RF Daniel Amaral was 2 for 3. LHP Trey McGough, a Johnstown native, allowed four runs, three earned, on five hits and two walks in 3.2 innings in his Curve debut. He struck out six.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 13-15) routed Winston-Salem (White Sox), 17-3. 2B Aaron Shackelford went 1 for 3 with his ninth home run and three walks. 1B Will Matthiessen, who has struggled to a .100 batting average so far this season, went 1 for 4 with his first home run and three RBIs. SS Liover Peguero acted as DH and went 2 for 4 with a walk and an RBI. RF Fabricio Macias, 3B Jared Triolo and C Grant Koch had two hits apiece. Koch drove in four runs. RHP Tahnaj Thomas started and allowed one unearned run on one hit with three strikeouts in 3.1 innings.

LHP Domingo Gonzalez started and went three innings, allowing three runs, one earned, on five hits with seven strikeouts.
