INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 41-39) lost to Gwinnett (Braves), 5-3. RF Trayvon Robinson had three hits to raise his batting average to .320. 2B Jake Elmore (.354) was 2 for 5 with two runs. RHP Eduardo Vera (4-6, 5.60) started and took the loss, giving up three earned runs on five hits in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out four and walked two.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 42-37) defeated Binghamton (Mets), 8-5. LF Chris Sharpe (.175) hit a grand slam, his second homer of the season, to highlight a six-run fourth inning. CF Jared Oliva (.243) had a solo homer in the third among his three hits and also scored twice. The home run was his fifth. C Arden Pabst (.225) hit his third homer of the season in the eighth. Starting RHP James Marvel (9-5, 3.16) earned the win, giving up two earned runs in seven innings. He struck out three and walked one.

BRADENTON (Advanced-A, 43-36) defeated Fort Myers (Twins), 7-4. 2B Rodolfo Castro (.297) was 2 for 4 — a double and a triple — with three RBIs and a run. 3B Dylan Busby (.224) drove in two runs. LHP Braeden Ogle (2-0, 1.42) got the win by giving up one unearned run in three innings. He struck out three and walked none. RHP Brad Case (5-1, 3.38) started and gave up three earned runs in six innings. He allowed seven hits, walked one and struck out three.

Next: Monday vs. Jupiter (Marlins)

GREENSBORO (Single-A, 50-30) defeated Lakewood (Phillies), 10-1. 1B Mason Martin (.263) had three hits and drove in five runs to lead the Grasshoppers. 2B Ji-Hwan Bae (.305) had two hits and scored twice, as did RF Jack Herman (.262). Bae and Herman also drove in a run each, with Herman’s RBI coming on a solo homer, his sixth. CF Jonah Davis (.134) also homered, his third. RHP Luis Nova (2-2, 3.91) got the victory, giving up one earned run on four his in seven innings. He struck out five and walked none.

Next: Monday at Hagerstown (Nationals)

WEST VIRGINIA (Short-season A, 9-7) defeated Williamsport (Phillies), 3-2. The Black Bears scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth to secure the win. CF Matt Gorski (.200) drove in the first run with a single. With two outs, C Ryan Haug (.280) drove in the tying with a single, and 1B Nick Patten (.200) drove in the winner with an infield single. RHP Garrett Leonard (1-0, 1.80) got the win by pitching two scoreless innings. RHP Noe Toribio started and pitched five shutout innings. He struck out seven and walked none.
