Pirates farm report for June 26, 2024: Henry Davis begins rehab assignment in Altoona

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 33-41) and Rochester (Nationals) were rained out. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Thursday.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 29-42) gave up five runs in the ninth lost 11-6 to Akron (Guardians). C Henry Davis, on a rehab assignment (concussion), went 0 for 2 with two walks and a run scored. 3B Charles McAdoo (.353) and DH Yoyner Fajardo (.349) each went 3 for 5 with a double and two runs scored. 1B Joe Perez (.232) went 1 for 3 with two RBIs. LF Dustin Peterson (.230) went 2 for 4 with an RBI. 2B Kervin Pichardo (.267) also went 2 for 4. RHP Sean Sullivan (3.84) started and gave up four runs on seven hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out six. RHP Eddy Yean (5-2, 3.29) took the loss, recording two outs and giving up four runs on four hits, including a homer.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 42-28) collected four hits and lost 6-1 to Jersey Shore (Phillies). CF Hudson Head (.228) went 2 for 4 with an RBI. SS Mitch Jebb (.201) went 1 for 3 with a walk and a run scored. LHP Dominic Perachi (1.93) started and allowed one run on four hits in six innings. He walked one and fanned four. RHP Scott Randall (1-1, 12.15) took the loss, giving up five runs on eight hits and a walk in 1⅔ innings.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 33-38) gave up six runs in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings then beat Clearwater (Phillies), 8-7, in 10. 2B Jeral Toledo (.228) scored the winning run on a wild pitch. RHP Peyton Stumbo (1-2, 3.89) gave up the last two runs in the ninth inning but retired the side in order in the 10th to earn the win. RHP Carlson Reed (2.21) started and gave up one ru on four hits in six innings. He walked two and struck out eight. RHP Carlos Jimenez (4.80) and RHP Garrett McMillan (2.63) each threw a scoreless inning of relief. C Axiel Plaz (.224) went 1 for 2 with a grand slam, his seventh homer of the season. CF Shalin Polanco (.163) went 2 for 4 with a triple and his eighth homer. 3B Javier Rivas (.233) went 1 for 4 with his seventh homer.
